P. Ramlee was a Malaysian film actor, director, singer, songwriter, scriptwriter, musician, composer and producer. He is regarded as a prominent icon of Malay entertainment, his name has even reached as far as Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan.
This house was originally built in 1926 by his father and Uncle Rejab Bin Husin, this house was renovated several times before being completely taken over by the National Archives.
This house was built to commemorate the famous artist P. Ramlee as a singer, actor, composer and even director. Items that are displayed at there include a diary, artifacts and displays (can be seen in and out of the house) are all related to his life and most belong to his family.
In Front of the museum you will see P. Ramlee's last car (Datsun Plate number BAD 3608 ). Should you want to get some souvenirs, merchandise such as T-shirts, mugs, keys – rings and hats are also available for purchase.
