National Zoo (Zoo Negara Malaysia)

Hi there, do you want to gain some great knowledge about Animals & Birds? You should visit our National Zoo as there are lots of species that you may not know. National Zoo (a.k.a Zoo Negara Malaysia) is a zoo in Malaysia managed by a non-governmental organisation, Malaysian Zoological Society. It is situated on 110 acres of land in Ulu Klang, Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia. It was officially opened on 14 November 1963 by our country's first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman. 

Exhibits

In National Zoo, there are 17 exhibits that you can visits such as Giant Panda Conservation Centre, Butterfly Garden, Hornbill Centre, Reptile House, Malaysian Elephants, Lake Birds, Bird Aviary, Australian Plain, Humboldt Penguins, Children's World, Bear Complex, Savannah Walk, Hippopotamus, Mammal Kingdom, Cat Walk, Ape Centre and Tunku Abdul Rahman Aquarium.

Services

Tram rides

• National Zoo provides tram ride services to all visitors and it is suitable for families with children and elderly. Not only it brings convenience, it brings visitors to each animal spot too. 

Animal feeding session

• Do you want to get the unique experience in feeding animals such as Javan Deer? Save the time from 2pm to 3pm on weekends & public holidays and attend the Feeding Javan Deer session. Remember to get some nice photos before you head back home. 

Other facilities

Besides that, there are other facilities such as free wifi, rental of stroller, rental of wheelchair, lockers, zoo huts and air-conditioned prayer room.

Getting There

GrabCar

• The best way to go to the National Zoo is by GrabCar. It takes about 20 to 25min from our hotel and it costs around Rm15 to Rm20 (depending on traffic).

• Adult - RM45.00
• Children (3 to 12 years old) - RM18.00
• Senior citizen (60 years old and above) - RM23.00

For Foreigner

• Adult - RM88.00
• Children (3 to 12 years old) - RM43.00
• Senior citizen (60 years old and above) - RM88.00
