Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman

Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman or formerly known as Batu Road is a famous and important road in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This road is named after Malaysia's first Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman ibni Almarhum Tuanku Muhammad. It is located in a business district of Kuala Lumpur and is near to Dataran Merdeka and Little India (Jalan Masjid India).

Along the road, there are few shopping malls to shop, from cheap to expensive. It is also very convenient to find food and drink around the street area or inside the mall. 


Getting There

GrabCar:

You can take a GrabCar or taxi from our hotel and the fare is about RM 15 to RM 20 depending on the traffic.

Duration Time: around 11 minutes

Monorail:

You can take the Monorail train services to reach the destination. The nearest Monorail station from our hotel is Bukit Bintang Monorail Station which is in front of Lot 10 shopping mall (6 minutes walk from our hotel). Get on to Titiwangsa Service Line and get off at Medan Tuanku Station. From there, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman is approximately 5 minutes walk away. 

Duration Time: around 15 minutes

Cost: around RM 2.30

Shopping Malls

Mara digital mall

  • It is one of the malls that offers electronic products such as computers, mobile phones, cameras. In addition, there are also electronic repair shops. If you are interested in getting a new laptop, computer or smart phones, head into this mall and you might be able to get a good deal.

Pertama Complex

  • Pertama Complex is one of the earliest shopping malls to be built in Kuala Lumpur and guess what, it is still in operation today. This mall offers a variety of mid to low priced items ranging from sportswear, shoes, leather goods, electronics products to photography equipment. There are a few Local Malay boutique shops where you can get nice looking apparel or accessories before heading back. Besides that, on the ground floor, you will find a number of stalls that offer miscellaneous items in bazaar style.

SOGO

  • SOGO Shopping Mall Kuala Lumpur is located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and is one of the oldest shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur city centre. It is a big department store where you can find affordable brands for anything such as handbags, shoes, clothes, kitchenware, house decor, gadgets and cosmetics products. International cosmetic brands such as Estee Lauder, Aramis, Shiseido, Gucci and DKNY can be found in SOGO.
