Sick of going to malls? How about going to the library where you do not have to spend tons of money? The KL Library has gone through a major facelift and it looks insta worthy now !

Kuala Lumpur Library (Malay: Perpustakaan Kuala Lumpur) is our main library in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located beside KL City Gallery or nearby Dataran Merdeka. It has 9 branches around Kuala Lumpur, starting from Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Jelatek, Desa Tun Razak, Gombak Setia, Pantai Dalam, Cheras, Setapak, Bandar Tun Razak to Sentul. Admission fee is completely free and guess what, you can also sign up for a library membership here for free too. Members will have full access to the private rooms, computers and freely borrow the books there. 

Not to forget that this library is super convenient too as it offers high speed WiFi, making this place an ideal place for co-working.

  • If you are bringing along with your children, do not worry! There are other facilities too such as play areas for children


Getting there: 

You can reach there by using public transport (LRT, MRT and bus). It is only a 10-minute walk from Masjid Jamek LRT station and Pasar Seni MRT station. 

Free Bus (Go KL City Bus) service

  • From Bukit Bintang (in front of Pavilion - take the purple line) to the Pasar Seni station and walk from Pasar Seni station to the library.

If you wish not to take the public transport, you can drive there and park your car at the private basement car park which is under Dataran Merdeka.
