Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery

A museum on money is established by the country’s central bank, a.k.a Bank Negara Malaysia and located in the Sasana Kijang Complex. Here you can learn all about money through interactive and computerised games, as well as interesting facts and information on money. The museum's spacious and airy galleries are spread over four floors. Here are some of the highlights you can expect to see, there is a Children’s Gallery, the Bank Negara Malaysia Gallery, Economics Gallery, Islamic Finance Gallery, and Numismatics Gallery. You will also be able to view the Central Banks art collection of renowned Malaysian contemporary artists in the Art Gallery. 


The Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Gallery is open from 10 am – 6 pm daily and entrance to the galleries is free. Bags will be checked upon entry to the building and are not allowed in the galleries. You can leave your bags at the lockers provided with a RM1 deposit.

 

The Museum is reachable by LRT (Bandaraya Station) or komuter service (Bank Negara Station) with a 10 minutes walking distance. Visitors may also drive and park at the basement with a RM5 fare per entry (free parking on public holidays/weekends). The easiest way is to take a grab by downloading the app and type in your location and destination name.
