Pisang Goreng OR Fried Banana

Pisang Goreng or literally fried banana is one of the popular deep-fried snacks in Malaysia and throughout Southeast Asia. A snack that is made of banana or plantain, covered in thin batter, being deep fried in hot cooking oil until crispy and golden colour, and finish it off with various sauces and toppings. It is just perfect for tea break snacks.

Where to find it:

It is usually sold by street vendors at the roadside. One of the popular places to buy fried bananas is Mr Chiam’s Pisang Goreng. This stall is located opposite of YMCA KL, Brickfields. This humble stall is operated by a duo (father and son) and all items are freshly made meaning new batches are consistently sold out with new customers flocking over to buy. They are located within 12 minutes driving distance from InnB Park hotel and using a GrabCar is highly recommended.
